Clifton Beach & Mohatta Palace

Clifton Beach is where Karachi comes to breathe, camel and horse rides along the sand, kite sellers, and street food stalls as the sun drops into the Arabian Sea. A short drive inland, the pink stone Mohatta Palace, built in 1927 as a seaside retreat, now houses rotating art and cultural exhibitions inside its domes and jharokas. Together they capture two very different sides of the city: its working coastline and its colonial-era elegance.
