About this place
The meadow below the killer mountain.
Fairy Meadows is an alpine pasture facing the sheer 4,600-metre Rupal Face of Nanga Parbat, the ninth-highest mountain on earth and one of the most dangerous peaks in mountaineering history, hence its nickname, Killer Mountain. Reached by jeep track and a final hour on foot, the meadow's wooden guest huts and pine forest make it one of the most accessible high-mountain viewpoints in Pakistan, with the summit close enough to feel like it is directly overhead.
