Lok Virsa is less a static museum than a living archive of Pakistan's regional cultures, truck art, embroidered textiles, musical instruments and craft traditions from every province displayed alongside working artisan demonstrations. It is one of the best single stops in Islamabad for understanding the sheer cultural range covered across this itinerary, from Balochi rugs to Kalash headdresses, before setting out to see the regions themselves.
